Pope Francis holds a prayer for peace in the Holy Land in the Vatican gardens, attended by the Israeli and Palestinian ambassadors to the Holy See. The Pope called for a ceasefire and a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
His comments marked the 10th anniversary of a "call for peace in the Holy Land" by Israel's former president Shimon Peres and Mahmud Abbas, president of the Palestinian Authority, at a Vatican meeting in June 2014.
