What the heck is OTEC??

What's Up, With Emma takes a look at Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion, or OTEC. In a continuing search for renewal energy, Emma Schantz takes a dive into the world of turbines, oceans and electricity. Mingus Mill in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park gives us a glimpse into past sources of renewable energy. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, The Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority is investigating creating energy using the natural temperature differences found in the depths of the ocean.
