Tried to put native plants in the parkway and it was not approved but the HOA. They only want grass. Makes no sense.

They need to create laws to stop people, mainly farmers, from drilling and pumping wells for water. Those underground aquifers are being depleted and when they're gone. That's it

I have a basement & I can get over 3 gallons of water from my 2 dehumidifier both running for 15 to 20 hours a day. We use it to flush our toilet.
We also collect the water from our AC. We set our AC thermostat at 76deg & this can produce 55 gallons of water in 10 to 12 days. We use this water for our outdoor plants & vegetable garden. Plus we have (2)55 gallon barrels that collects rain from our roof gutter. These 2 barrels can fill up very quickly even with very light on & off rain.
Safe to say we saved 15% to 20% of water usage.
BTW we live in Georgia USA
Warning: Do not use these collected water as drinking water.

Stop building! There’s no water! 30 years ago San Ysidro had no water for 2 days. Ugh!

that guy doesn't "buy in" to the story that we have a water shortage??? uh.. ok well the climate doesn't seem to care whether he does or not. Just look at the lack of rainfall and low reservoir levels...

It's embarrassing when Alabama has faster growth rate than a state with 40 million people, and no I didn't stutter.

Don't worry people with millions are still coming to Ca. to buy it up.

Love how they say natural topography when we have modified the landscape so much.
🙄
Bring back the trees and stop over development. No one can afford these houses anyway and the homeless could at least benefit from fruit trees as well as shade with Oak trees.

California builds canals to deliver water. The Midwest builds canals to get rid of water.
