I’m doing something quite similar using an 16’ Old Town composite canoe. My outriggers are from a surfboard that I cut in half. I put it in the water for the first time just a few days ago using a 55lb thrust electric trolling motor. It was awesome. I found a 2hp Evinrude for sale and I’m going to check it out tomorrow.

Where did you get your stabilizers/outriggers? Those are really nice. The motor is great

Great education series and thank you. I have a double ended Grumann. Having a hard time getting the propeller (3.5 hp 2 stroke long shaft) to reach the needed water level from the motor mount due to the curved up shape of the stern and the stern seat position. Could you share the length of your motor mount? Thanks

I'd like your big stabilizers. Where did you buy them? Thanks.

Hi there. With that 5 hp motor. Do you need the stabilizers or can the canoe hold it without it ? Thx
