Here's one for ya. I took a dash for a customer that ordered food, deserts, and a shake from a franchise burger place. They had to substitute the desert due to stocking issues, which the customer was fine with. The shake machine was down as well, so I informed the customer which was fine with it. I felt lead to bless the customer with the same flavor of shake from the restaurant's competitor without telling the customer. At drop-off (no-contact), I sent a pic of her order with the shake in front. At completion, I received a $15 tip. I sent a txt to her explaining the shake, then bumped the tip to $30. Customer service is key to the business!

My biggest order over the 2 weeks was $65 for a 2 stack order about 8 miles total. But I’ve been getting a lot of $25 under 1 mile. I don’t cherry pick my orders as much as I do my area. I’ve found 2 spots that really work for me for about 2 hours a day. I found a nice zone hopping spot that keeps sending me back and forth with high paying orders. I found a really good breakfast spot that’s good for 4 hours on certain mornings. And biggest thing I’ve done is make friends with the merchants. you want to get in and out of restaurants fast, make sure you show gratitude to the people in control of your time.

The only problem with doordash when you deliver something 4+ miles, and they want you to come back to your zone, it make no sense. That why I can't just do doordash, uber is the best in nyc.

I'm a top dasher in Chicago and my average highest paying order is right around $13-14. My highest paid order was when peak pay was once $10 and got a $22. Doordash rarely gives peak pay anymore out here probably because there's so many drivers.

Thank you so much for your videos. I just started dashing on 2/20 and have gone four days in a row. Monday through Thursday. I’m improving every day and these tips really help. I live in a small town and there isn’t peak pay that I’ve noticed.

Dont be so quick to decline 9-10 mile orders. Got a 19$ tip for 27$ total for 45 minutes. Absolutely worth it.

I started a week ago and my first delivery was for $17. A $5 peak pay was active. Had I known a $5 peak pay was uncommon I would have done longer. I only did the one delivery that day because I did it after my job and it was getting late. Plus I was new and a little nervous about it. Haven’t seen peak pay that high since

I do DoorDash full time I make about 8-10k a month. Depending how much I wanna work, you’ve inspired me to share my experience and I will make videos as well to show people. But never decline a bunch of orders. With the combination of the catering big bag program you should be easily doing 300 to 400 daily. My ratings are nearly perfect and I hardly ever reject an order unless it’s super far away. If you want big orders never reject and build your ratings to nearly perfect.

In Boston area, I've been doing doordash about 1.5 years. I get a challenge like every 3-4 weeks. It's usually something like 15 deliveries for $75 extra. Last month it was a good one. It was 25 deliveries for $200 extra. The peak pay ranges anywhere from $1.50 to $6.50. The $6.50 isn't in Boston proper but right outside. Usually where I'm willing to drive, the peak pay is $3.00-3.50

I DoorDash in the villages, and we rarely ever get peak pays anymore. The very few times we do, so many Dashers come out, that you rarely ever get any orders, even when you’re on top Dasher.
