Jane and Steve visit the Port of #Valdez Alaska home of #Glaciers, #Eagles, #Orcas, #Salmon, Otters, Puffins, Stellar Sea Lions, Seals, #Dolphins, #Bear, Moose, Antelope, Elk, Fish, and spend several days camped at The Bear Paw RV Park and tour the port, including a #fulldaycruise on the luxurious yacht Lu Lu Belle through Icebergs to the Columbia Glacier, a visit to the Valdez Salmon Fishery, the main port terminal and the Valdez #Glacier. Thanks for this! We intend to spend several days around Valdez and this is very helpful. One thing we are considering is taking the ferry from valdez over to whittier. If we do that we probably will not do the lulu bell though thats a hard decision... I know we will get a small ferry ride crossing the river up by dawson but id really like to get the rv on a real ocean-going ferry (not sure why i want to do that but i do!). Did you guys consider this at all ? Did you take any other ferrys on this trip? I like the valdez to whittier route as its not too long and we wont have to worry about food spoilage in the fridge for shutting off the propane. (Btw did you have to do that in Dawson when you crossed the yukon?). Thanks again - great information!
