The Clippers Nightmare is Coming True

The Clippers lost Paul George in free agency and are rolling into their new arena with James Harden and Kawhi Leonard leading the way. This could be a horrible season for the Clippers and this is a look at what that means for the franchise going forward.

As a Toronto fan, I continue to be in AWE at how lucky the team got when it came to Kawhi. 1 season, where he was relatively healthy, AND had a major chip on his shoulder, and they won the title. Then he leaves, and he's been injury prone pretty much since. It was the ultimate "Right place at the right time" scenario.

As a long time Thunder fan …. We had 0 idea that Shai would become the player he IS !!

The trade at the time seemed like a fair deal …. However now …it’s a FLEECE ….. we still have the next 2 first round pics from Clips …. YES this year could be a high one …next year could even be better, ..plus pics from the Paul & Galinari trade …. Thunder NOW has 5 1st
round pics in 25 & 3 in 26

That’s EIGHT 1st round on the next 2 years & we just won the WEST with the 2nd youngest team in the league …… God Bless the Clips

Losing Paul George for nothing is franchise malpractice no matter how bad he is.

the Late Jerry West knew SGA would be big, thats why pushed the Clips to draft him. But they let Kawhi bully them to get Boy George

Ballmer is ranked #9 ($145B net worth) based on Bloomberg billionaire index as of Sept 3, 2024. The $2B arena and cost of acquiring the Clippers with a huge payroll are capitalized assets to depreciate to offset his future capital gains tax. This is actually a calculated tax move by Ballmer.

PG leaving the Clips could be a good thing. With Harden and Kawhi, there were too many cooks in the kitchen. With the addition of 3 and D players, I wouldn't be surprised if the Clippers are a strong playoff contender this year IF (BIG IF) Kawhi can stay healthy.

The clippers thought they would cook but they cooked themselves ☠

Letting Paul George go was the best move the clippers ever made

This can be a hot take, but PG doesn't change too much. The most important player is still Kawhi. If Kawhi's healthy they can still a borderline contender even without PG. If Kawhi isn't healthy they don't win even if there's PG.

The last time A.M. Hoops had any integrity, Kobe was still with us.

Hey Casey, if you want people to stop skipping your ads you need to make them shorter, like 20s max. Some of the ads are well over a minute.

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS... IT'S BETTER IF THE CLIPS ARE UNDERDOGS THIS SEASON... NO PRESSURE & MAYBE SURPRISE ALOTTA PEOPLE. KAWHI ALWAYS PERFORMED ALOT BETTER IN THIS SITUATION ANYWAYS.

THANK YOU FOR BRINGING UP THE TRADE MADE SENSE AT THE TIME! I’m a clippers fan and you’re right, NOBODY knew who SGA was but us! Unfortunately, we did lose the trade in the long run. Time to run it back! Go Clips!

Am I the only one who thinks you shouldn't build a franchise around perennially injured "stars"?
