The fall of the Assad regime has left a fragmented and chaotic landscape in its wake. The punchline is that Syria's future does not lie within its borders; a regional power from outside will need to step in and help.

The Turks may not always agree with America, but they have always been a great ally. We see this in the Korean War, the Afghanistan War, the Bosnia War, Somalia and all NATO missions. The only concern of the Turks is the terrorist Kurdish organizations. Look, I am not saying the Kurds. I am saying the Kurdish terror groups. So what is this? The PKK started its activities in the 1980s, it is a Kurdish terror group that is currently listed as a terrorist group by NATO, the US and the EU, then America changed the name of this terror group to YPG and now it has made it SDF. The leader and his team at the head of this SDF were all PKK leaders, Interpol issued arrest warrants and they are terrorists. Right now, America supports these terrorists called SDF and of course it does not seem possible for the Turks to be friends with these groups and this terrorist individuals and their groups who killed more than 50 thousand Turkish civilians and Turkish military which is Nato military members. Now you will tell me are Turks right about their issues?? To me 100% right.

No joke, but Turks are maybe the bravest nation in the world. Worked with them in Afghanistan, Jordan and some competitions. Their special forces are unbelievable..

Syrian people that got their education in Turkey, will soon start taking government positions in Syria. Even Turkey does nothing, relations will be very strong.

I’m beginning to think Israel’s greatest fear is peace not war.

The Turks as Israel's new neighbor, yeah that sounds like a recipe for stability.

Turkish foreign minister went to damascus this week and talked with the leader of hts. FM said there will be only "one Syria" and all militan groups should join the new syrian army. Turkiye doesn't want any armed terrorist groups next to their border, and turkiye host more than 5 million syrian refuges. They need to go back to their country. But before that syria need civil and stable government.

Peter, the Turks are already more involved, I don’t think you are correct on the situation, specifically that people are really tired of war and everyone want it to stop.
The other point is, people have been living together peacefully for 100 of years in Syria and general appetite is to do so moving forward and looks like outside forces want to sit this out this time.

SNA is hitting the PYD not the Kurds. There are Kurds in the SNA.

I guess the Turks will be the only ones available to rearm a new Syria.

Quick correction as well as this was recorded on the 17th. The DOD announced on the 19th that there are actually 2000 US troops in Syria and there have been since pre-Assad-fall.

People may like Turkey or not tho reality is turkey is the only Muslim country with solid secular system. It is a good role model for Sunni Syrians to preserve and extend peace and stability in Middle East.

I hope al-Sharaa is wise enough to become Syria's Ataturk (albeit an Islamist version), which is exactly what Syria needs. All my best to the Syria people who have suffered so much for so long.

Turkey has declared that it will not allow another civil war in Syria
In addition, the new Syria will not pose any threat to Israel, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Jordan.
Turkey gave these groups a deadline to dissolve the SDF-YPG-PKK structure and join the Syrian army
Turkey also wants 5000 European ISIS terrorists imprisoned by the YPG to return to their home countries

SDG does not represent the Kurds, but is a multinational militia supported by the US, France and Germany.
