In the early 80s in the UK my mum would buy that for us as a special treat. Like Xmas time on boxing day. I grew up being excited when my mum got us this treat at Xmas time I loved it so much because it felt so special. My mum was a widow left with 4 kids after my dad passed in 81, so a treat was a treat back then and even now when I see vienetta it fills me with joy and amazing memories of childhood Xmas with my family. When I get sad and miss my mum I buy a vienetta because she made this do special to us kids ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗

I used to love this as a child. Seeing it on the table after the main was the best feeling! Not sure if it would be great now

The expression after the "cheers." That was a mood and a half. Thank you for taking this bullet for us all.

Well first off, that is not the 90's ice cream cake, the 90s cake was by Bryers, and this cake is by Good Humor, top of the line back then, and good humor cheap version, a completely different cake, nothing about it it the same

You nailed it ... Its all about the experience. To me, it was the closest thing to Polárkový Dort you could get in the US... something I grew up with in the former Czechoslovakia ... We didn't have much money, so Polárkový Dort was something we might have once a month, and as a kid with little access to any other ice cream, it was a real treat.
Incidentally, in Czech Polárkový Dort translates to Polar Tort (aka cake).

Adorable mini cake! I would never make one but I applaud your idea and patience.

Bought it today; i remember it from back in the day. Maybe it was nostalgia, but I did enjoy it. :)

Used to be made by Breyers. Tried the Good Humor version and for whatever reason it's not as good.

They used frozen dairy milk instead of ice cream. Which is totally absurd! Also, the proper way to have Viennetta is each slice served in big wine glasses. Cheers!

90's Ice Cream Cake, you 80's!!!!

I'm from the UK-England in Kent, you ever been??

Also with the Coca content in the US is a joke!

Don't know why they changed that there 🤷🏻‍♂

My parents would never buy one when I was a kid. At the age of 39, I finally bought one and I was disappointed. Your money would be better spent making or buying chocolate-dipped ice cream cones.

I liked it when it was made with real ice cream but now any time I see ice cream what got frozen dessert or frozen dairy dessert on the packaging I don't buy it cuz it's not real ice cream it's made up of a bunch of preservatives and other stuff and the taste is not good I rather pay extra money for real ice cream

This is very popular here. Personally I’m not a fan. Tasteless!

I bought the UK version yesterday for the first time in years. It is horrible, no flavour, chemical-like, and tasted (even though there was no real taste!) of powdered milk. A truly awful product now.
