Cara Mia by Jay Black and the Americans is special. He was brought to be a cantor in the Jewish Church. His voice is phenomenal. You will be impressed.

Who Dialed Back the Time Machine for this number? Great memories from those days.

Never heard this before. So much fun. For a bunch of Americans, they did a great job with Spanish music. Cool beans.

Great memories of this song! 😊 I was just a little kid, but my big sis would put this on the turntable and we would dance in the living room. I never listened to the verses just the chorus, so I never heard the story until today!
My sister also loved Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. I loved a song called The Lonely Bull. She also liked Trini Lopez especially the song Lemon Tree. We both liked that one and would sing and dance.
My big sis is with the angels now so you all brought me back to a wonderful time ❤ Thank you!

Even before my time! I know many of their songs have been done by other bands over the years, even Aerosmith. Great reaction 😊

I love this song. Some YouTuber made a funny video of this song with a duck as "bad man and matched the song well

Jay Black was the lead singer. You should hear him on "Cara Mia".

This was a great band from the 60's-70's. The lead singer had a very powerful voice. Some of their hits were "Cara Mia", "She Cried", "Only In America", "Some Enchanted Evening" etc. In 1969 they recorded an album of their favorite oldies called "Sands Of Time", which included the hit "This Magic Moment" (The Drifters). They also had a hit with "Walkin' In The Rain" (The Ronettes).
