THIS SHOW CHANGED ME. I can’t stand it that it’s over. I’ve cried so much today. This is my favorite show of all time. And to me it’s more than a show. It’s so much more. I just wish it could have stayed longer. I’m not ready for it to go.

Some would look at this and think, “Wow. Just another dumb animated cartoon on CN.” But, you have to know it on a personal level. I made 3 of my friends watch it and got them hooked. This shaped me into the dweeb I am today and I love it. No matter how much any human may tease me for my love for this show, I’ll never stop loving it period. Thank you Steven Universe for everything. And thank you Zach Callison, Deedee Magno, Estelle, Michaela Dietz, Shelby Rabara, Jennifer Paz, Uzo Aduba, and especially Rebecca Sugar. You are truly a gift to this would and I hope that people will see you someday as the beauty you really are.

I remember 2013, and eagerly awaiting the premier of this show. Now, 7 years later, it has come to a conclusion, I can look back at it and think about how it has paved the way for changes in the American animation landscape. No show geared towards children has such a defined story line, and such defined character archs. Steven universe did this, well enough that people of all ages can watch it and appreciate how artfully they went through the story.
Not only did Steven universe have well defined archs, but it also has dealt with some very important issues, not before seen in children's media. Toxic relationships, lack of communication, abuse to some extent, and also LGBT+ topics.
Steven universe helped me understand some of the feelings I was having through a tough time in my life, and I cannot begin to express what joy that brings me now. While it's still hard for me, I at least understand what I am feeling. Thank you, to the crewniverse and Rebecca, you have changed so many peoples lives for the better, and I am glad that I can now look forward with hope, and backward with pride.
