The END of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2?

NASB 2 released Iroh yesterday, a seemingly rushed and random release with not much fanfare. Is the sun setting on this game's life, or is there a little bit more to find out of this year-old game?

man, you really hit the nail on the head about a potential NASB3 for me. i would so much rather have our current game be polished and have it live on with dignity than to have another game thrust into existence in less than a year. no thanks.

TBH I kinda thought that Iroh’s early release was akin to how Scott released the first few FNAF games early because they were already finished and that he didn’t want to stall.

The only real way I see a NASB3 happening and working is if they simply build on what they already have with 2 and take a LOT more time to make it, sort of like what UMvC3 or Smash Ultimate did, in a way. Otherwise, I'd rather just see 2 get continuously polished, MAYBE with occasional new content if possible. There's still SOME work being done on this game, from what I've heard, so I expect at least a few patches in the future if nothing else.

I wouldn't say the NASB series is already over, but it's certainly in a rough spot. We fans just need to tough it out and show our support in any way we can so we can let GameMill, Nick, and whoever else (probably even Skydance in a year's time?) know that there's still an audience for these games. They have potential and I wanna see them reach it one day.

It’s such a shame what happened to the development team. I like how Uncle Al said it in his second video he made about this game. “They were just too good for this publisher.” With that said, you pretty much summarized how I feel about the game right now. It’s glitchy and unbalanced, but dang is it fun. All I could hope for this game now is that it gets at least one more balance patch and that it can live on for a few years. And if a potential NASB 3 ever does happen, please, for the sake of everyone, give the devs the resources they need and let them cook.

Yeah, good points! Definitely don't want things rushed, but have hope with stuff about how devs said since this game was built in a new engine, wanting to get away from the one used for Nasb1, a hypothetical sequel could build off of the previous game easier? I feel like I'm the most worried and suspicious of Nickelodeon... Do they get how much work these games have been? Do they get that people would really like more costumes and dialogue between characters? Do they consider these "successful"?

When Nasb1 was first leaked I assumed it would be like kinda bad but could lead to a better game, but am still in awe about how we saw that first trailer and heard about wavedashing and rollback netcode...! Like! As if Nickelodeon cared about that at all, but here it was! And then there were no voices and no costumes, but that got better! Hmm... I hope I don't ramble too much but yeah, hard for me not be nervous that they might just see this as another series to try to pump out every other year. It feels miraculous these games have been as good as they've been, despite their glitches and stuff.

I feel sure that Nick will order a 3 at some point, this series must be like "successful" to them, right? I have to imagine it sells more than the Kart Racers and stuff...! But I don't know if they'll understand and respect what the first two needed to be as good as they were... Nervous and not sure what the future is, but thankful for what we got, and hey, maybe as a community we could work together and see new characters and stages through mods or somethin!

honestly i’ll be fine if nsab3 doesn’t happen as well. nasb2 is a very fun game for me despite the flaws and i love it. i also unironically play it slightly more than ultimate lol-

It's been dead since Krabs. The fact that this game went on sale for $5 last week and it hasn't been a year says enough about the flop known as the DLC.

Nasb 2 had a great run and genuinely has alot of potential for the future.Maby if they had better publisher to work under Nasb 2 would've flourished

This is truly one of my favorite fighting games. (And I play A LOT of fighting games)

I think I would prefer a revamp of NASB2 (like champion edition to sfv) rather than a NASB 3. Either way much love for this title!

I don't want a Nick Brawl 3. I want this game to be polished as much as possible before their time is up. I don't expect Ludosity and Fair Play to be hired back. I don't expect the devs to get the time they need. And if those things aren't there I don't want to play it. These games are lightning in a bottle and I don't expect to get that again. Maybe the stars will align one more time, but I'm more than happy with what we've got. Another game with the quality of other Nickelodeon games would only tarnish these game's legacy.

The game was already dead after the game came out. Most people stopped talking about it after the game’s release, and whenever I told somebody about the dlc, that guy would be surprised that the game was still having dlc.

The only time I'd probably say is 2025 or 2026 for a third title. My only wishlist for the third game if it happens is third party that's been associated with Paramount or upgrade the third title to be a Paramount brawler game instead

Rivals 2 deserves all the platform fighter attention right now tbh, such an actual fantastic game with precise gameplay

With the mass amount of layoffs the staff had in the aftermath of making the game, and a skeleton crew coming and going when it came to the first 4 DLC characters, it’s no surprise that I would want to campaign for NASB 2 to continue, that way, it might have some bright future. Hell, if anything, magically waiting and magically campaigning for a third game THIS QUICK, that’s bound to spell trouble, especially with the modern gaming industry being SCREWED, in this case, the best way to at least see a bright future for the game would just accept what the current game offered, kinda like what happened with Super Smash Bros Ultimate, where I was welcoming to most, if not, ALL of the newcomers.

Nah, rumor is that these are the FIRST characters of 2024, and this hints that there MAY be more DLC fighters on the way, just, not this year.
