Don't be so harsh. The way I see it, PD has an IPC nearly matching Phenom, and it also clocks higher. It does perform better than Phenom, but only barely, so you're right. But keep in mind, Intel hasn't evolved really much either in those two years, so they're mostly in the same relative position.

The mobile i7s are true beasts; don't forget the i7-3615QM also gets more in Cinebench than a 3570K. It's like a slightly underclocked 3770K. I wouldn't call that a joke.

then they jumped from the vlc to media player?

actually in a couple months with $500 you will be able to play many games with the prices decreasing since the next gen processors are coming in

Finally understood. Amd isnt aiming for better cpu because they will loose. I believe their trying to unify both cpu and gpu.It should be noted that the cpu and gpu may be on the same die but it is not much different from previous architecture.1st gen apu were gpu n cpu on the same die. 2nd gen apu shared power managment components. kaveri (3rd gen) will allow both cpu and gpu to acces the same memory. Eventually both cpu n gpu will be completely unified. These next few years would be intresting.

I bought i5-4670K. And i tested Intel HD4600, it is equal to Geforce 8600GT. All new game unplayable, FPS 20-25 on low settings 1280x720. Intel grafix it's crap, but CPU is very very good after my old i5-760!

Amd can't make a big leap in architecture and thus improve performance. On the other hand to my knowledge intel updates its mother board every year. Also heard that the most powerful i7 can only run on one motherboard.

I don't know what to say... IF the GT3 is on 650m level, it's still a step away from 650 / 7770. AMD already extinguished their low end lineup because of their constantly evolving APUs. And let's not forget, the GT3 is the highest of the haswell GPU line, and will probably pair up with more expensive CPUs (where it won't even get used much). No, i think this will only affect the mobile market, and significantly, only if this performance info is true. This, of course, not taking HSA into account.

I don't see how that's possible. They would just lose the GPU market, and they don't have the resources to develop such a processor anyway. And even if then managed it, they wouldn't regain their place in the market, unless they also price that CPU dirt cheap, in which case they wouldn't make their money back. For now they can only expand, and come back to these things later. I agree, getting into this situation was their management's fault, but right now there's not much they can do about it.

Of course... AMD and NVIDIA are both doomed, because Intel just markets their stuff better and has a huge hype to their name, so everyone will buy the more expensive (and less capable) stuff from them.

shame nothing if you have more companies selling good gpus, it would lower even more the price and up the quality faster (and it´s nice to buy an i7 with U$500 and at least could play many games with a nice quality)

It´s more for mobile this gpu, so desktops are free to put any other gpu

Hope this is legit cause it is pretty damn impressive.

Is is no GT3 graphic for desktop

GT3 is going to be used only for few mobile haswell models.

And now, run fraps, and show real fps!

Unfortunately AMD is completely outplayed in both desktop and mobile markets. Few buy their products. Thus they can't afford much for research of new stuff. It's a vicious circle, and they can't get out of it unless they change markets. They barely have enough to maintain their GPU line. And Steamroller probably won't help, even if it's a giant leap, even if it's better than Intel's... Most consumers don't look at graphs and numbers, just buy the best marketed product, which would be Intel here.

Haha maybe, but I don't think so... at least not until next year.

The APUs have decent CPU capability, for gaming, especially if you're using only the iGPU (or even hybrid cfx), because you have a GPU bottleneck situation anyway. No reason to have an i5 unless you can pair it with something more heavy-duty. And I never saw any appeal in non-K i5s for the desktop anyway. It looks like an OC'd FX-6300 tops them even in gaming perf. You need a 3570K to negate that advantage.

Mobile is a different story. We'll just have to see how GT3 actually performs.

Firstly there is no proof the right is actually a game. No keyboard presses and didn't measure the frame rates so its possible it is vlc. Secondly they said twice the performance of the intel hd graphics 4000. Thirdly this game can be running on direct x 9 n not 10 or 11 that is why we dont see the haswell lag. And finally amd cannot make a big leap yet because because they promised to stick with the same mother board for 2 to 3 yrs.

Yeah! Bla-bla no difference between them despite ARTIFACTS ON THE INTEL HD4600!!!
