Hi Dave, nice overview and tutorial about hive.
Just a note about the pillbug especial ability used at 7:53, "the pillbug may not move the piece most recently moved by the opponent".

at 9:10, the black has the chance to win the game immediately by moving the Soldier Ant next to her own Queen to surround the white Queen in one move. Am I missing something? The move by the white beetle connects the pieces that would have been disconnected by the Ant.
