作曲者阿拉‧拉克哈‧拉曼（Allah Rakha Rahman，1966─）印度作曲家。由於父親是一位電影配樂作曲家兼導演，他在一個富裕的家庭中成長，從小就展現對音樂的天分。十一歲時開始在Dhanraj門下學音樂。拉曼創作豐富，有「印度莫札特」之稱。曾為《伊麗莎白──輝煌年代》（Elizabeth: The Golden Age）和《貧民百萬富翁》（Slumdog Millionaire）配樂而名聲大噪，其中《貧民百萬富翁》的配樂讓他獲得兩座奧斯卡金像獎、兩座葛萊美獎以及一座金球獎。

編曲者伊山‧史柏利（Ethan Sperry，1971─）出生於美國紐約，大學就讀於哈佛大學（Harvard University），畢業後於南加州大學（University of South California）修習合唱指揮，獲碩士、博士學位。史柏利曾任邁阿密大學（Miami University）音樂系副教授，現任教於美國波特蘭州立大學（Portland State University）。

〈祈憶〉是拉曼為電影《波蘇：被遺忘的英雄》（Bose: The Forgotten Hero）做的配樂。電影劇情主要介紹印度獨立革命領袖蘇布哈斯．詹德拉．波蘇的事蹟。波蘇在二次大戰期間，得到軸心國支持，採取武裝獨立路線，組織印度國家陸軍迎戰英國。波蘇在印度成功獨立之後，尊奉甘地為「國父」。他和甘地及尼赫魯被奉為印度獨立的三大領袖。

「Zikr」有回憶和祈禱的意思，整首曲子以對阿拉的呼聲貫串而成，藉由反覆讚頌表現對神的敬慕，使神與自己的身心靈融合為一，則處處皆可感覺到神的存在。
