Jonathan Gets his hands on the New Line 6 Pod Express and demos it for the Casino Guitars Crew!

The Line 6 POD Express Guitar is an ultra-portable guitar amp and effects processor — in fact, it's the company's most portable POD yet. The POD Express boasts seven amp models, seven cab simulations, and 17 effects based on cutting-edge HX-derived technology, along with a tuner, a noise gate, and even a looper. This unit's simple control set makes dialing in tones a straightforward affair; plus, since it can be powered by either batteries or an optional power supply, you can take it virtually anywhere. The POD Express flaunts tap tempo, stereo main outputs, and a stereo headphone output, and you get a built-in USB-C audio interface for effortless recording, monitoring, and re-amping. Finally, you can connect an optional expression pedal for real-time volume control or up to two external footswitches for preset selection and turning effects on and off. Over the years, the various iterations of Line 6's POD have broken new ground in terms of functionality, portability, and sound quality. Offering more of the same in an even more compact form factor, the POD Express Guitar makes for a stellar musical companion.

Mine will be here today! I was almost afraid to watch this in case it sucked, but lo and behold, it DOES NOT SUCK!

Love my Pod express. For a bedroom/home player, it’s all I need. Amazing value for $125 used, just wish I could disable the tap tempo light. Drives me nuts.

I really appreciate your takes on products that you're not dealers for. Keep 'em coming, please. 👍

Jonny, just wanted to say that you have some classy decorating skills.

Loving the pools of light and clean mid-century lines.

I've been playing mine and putting in tones for just over a week now. It's on my pedal board right now with only a wah, tuner, compressor, and looper around it. It's handling all the effects and pretty much covers any basic setup I can do, from jangle pop to southern rock to creedy-dad metal to worship. I am not sure I'd record with it, but to take to a gig and be super minimalist with my pedal board, sure!

Cool vid. Picked one up today. Sounds great! I like that I spend my time playing it and not perpetually menu diving.

Just got mine. First multi modeler for me since I got a Zoom 505 as a teenager. Definitely a good gateway pedal. Limited options makes it easier to get started. Will say the tones were way better coming from Jonathan’s playing instead of mine.

Nice demo Jonathan. This seems perfect to pair with an S1Pro as a busking rig or small backup rig. Cheers Casino!

Great demo ... I'm a begginer looking for an easy to use Multi FX pedal and you nailed it with a short but really comprehensive overview of this pedal ... Particularly showing the ease of use aspect ... Thank you

Nice job. My POD express has been sitting in the box for a couple of weeks, I'm going to get it out and program it, you just showed me it would be great on my Gretsch playing country and blues.

Hey great demo man i really enjoyed the fact that you actually spent a few minutes giving some great clean tone demonstrations so many people just strum it twice and go straight for the metal sludge i'm looking for some kind of a backup / fly rig type of thing for solo and duo gigs and this might be pretty cool

I watch most of the videos because of Johnathon as he is just straight up to the point but keeps it clean and respectful and his playing is badass with good taste but keeps it real and for a guitarist that’s much like him I enjoy the videos more. I was on the fence with this from many bad experiences with past Line 6 but after this video I am actually going to place an order for one now! Keep rocking Johnathon 🤘🎸🤘thanks for more money down the pipe to hear about later btw👍 Be running it with my Custom Tele & Fender 65 deluxe reverb amp & my Supro Amulet 🤘

What is the white(ish) hollow body guitar on the rack, it look super sweet. Now back to the video.

Big John, you should do more demo's and not let Baxter have all the fun because I love your playing❤ 😊

Product or no product, I could listen to you noodle happily.

Sounds pretty good! I’ve been using a UA Dream 65 at the end of my board for fly dates, and this is pretty interesting at this price point just for that purpose for me (ie using just the the clean fender amp sim and spring reverb and my other pedal for drives/delays etc). Not exactly it’s intended use, but the amp sounds are good enough on their own, and then I’d have a headphone practice setup and a full backup rig already sitting on my board at all times.

I’ve been a line 6 fan since I was a young with my spider amps. A large chuck of the market are gonna be younger guys just jamming out in their rooms. Line 6 has always tailored to that market. A full stack just isn’t practical for someone living in a dorm room or a barracks. They perfected the art of making big sounds in small spaces.

I just ordered one because my old pod 2.0 is doing weird things and changing sounds randomly on me. I hope this thing is an improvement sound quality wise, and from what I'm hearing in this video it probably will be!
