One of my favorite on screen performances in a movie. Brian Setzer is one of the most underrated musicians ever.

He really knocked it out of the ball park. Of course Eddie Cochran was his idol and Rockabilly music was always his passion. Brian Setzer did justice to this song when he performed it in the Movie, La Bamba. Super killer tune !!!

Brutal. First time I heard this song was in the cinema when I was seen La Bamba.. I was 12 years old. My life was never the same. I wanted to be Brian Setzer. Now I'm a rocker with a Gretsch Brian Setzser Signature.

Brian Setzer is a genius of the Gretsch Guitar his recording and performance work ethic is second to none, the GREATEST Rock'n'Roll guitarist of today and a brilliant songwriter and composer to boot ! . and He is also a superb Rock'n'Roll singer. How he can play that guitar and sing in that raucous gravel tinged great voice and never seem to quit - the same live as he is on record - is beyond belief, I dunno - I'm only so glad he can. THE MAN IS PURE GENIUS!! ROCK ON, BRIAN SETZER!!!! Eddie Cochran would be so proud of Brian's performance of "Summertime Blues".
