This is Part 2 of my Opportunities Series. This one features one of my long time investor clients who called me this summer looking to add another one bedroom condo to his portfolio. He already owns investment condos, duplexes and single family homes in Vancouver and Richmond. For this purchase he was looking at buying a simple one bedroom in a good older building in Downtown New Westminster that was close to Sky train.

Great advice back in 2014. Your client is a smart investor that has long term plan. I wonder if it is too late to get into New Westminster market these days? What about Edmonds BE area? Thanks

Can this city be the next downtown Vancouver. Burnaby is taking over as the next up and coming vibrant downtown. New Westminster is lagging behind in new high rises and infrastructure. They are stuck in the vision of low rise heritage landscape.

That unit has likely doubled in price since it was purchased. What a bargain at 158k.
