Lions were the superior side but Ulster had their moments. They were missing their Emerging Ireland players who flew out today to play two games in SA. It was an achievement to get a bonus point out of that game.

International observers have no idea how big Ellis Park actually is. There's comfortable seating for 80 000, and has accommodated 100 000 capacity crowds. It was built in the 70's by a maverick millionaire Transvaal Rugby lover who rescued a practically bankrupt union, built this magnificent venue and sold it to events like Paul Simon and other luminaries. Our faithful crowd sort of gets lost in its magnificence.

Some of those tries the Lions just strolled through. Defence nowhere near up to scratch from Ulster. I’ve been impressed with the Lions since the URC started but they never seem to make the playoffs which weird.

I blame the marketing department of the lions team fans attending their games has been shrinking almost every home game they had a choice to choose a much smaller stadium than Ellis Park their managers refused now look how empty it is
