The "Bring disk online" is for incomplete or damaged raids. If you have a software raid and there's a faulty or missing disk, to start fixing the problem you click the "Bring the disk online" where the disk manager will guide you on repairing and bringing back the raid up. There's also a manual (software) way to bring a single disk offline, but it's rarely used.
Also partition resizing is new, and I find it a very welcome addition.

The setup is nice. Why can't microsoft make it fullscreen like windows xp?

i honestly preferred the windows vista-10 install screen while it installs. since it gives you a progress bar and shows the steps.

this installing windows 11 blue screen looks like the windows installer when you dont boot into the installer but install/upgrade it on a current os

It's like upgrading from Windows 10 to 11. Although i'm sure they'll remove the ability to use the legacy setup in the final release

Oooh the bring disk online is probably for if u have multiple disks so u can unmount the other ones so that it doesnt mess with the efi partition on another drive, if thats so, im happy xD.

I can't stop laughing that microsoft just take out the interface form the media creation tool and put it in pre installation envoirment whatever the main update was done form windows vista and then they slowly changed the background of the pre install envoirment until they change the background to solid purple in windows 8 rtm and didn't change it until now so it will be changed and upgraded until windows 12 or whatever microsoft ends up calling it and that option at the start of the pre install envoriment where luanch im legacy mode it will do it as it says it will luanch the old windows 8 rtm pre install envoirment

I was able to create an account on windows 11 without logging into a Microsoft account. I just input an invalid password several times then it let me create a local account.

they should also change the window design from aero times

Pointless changes that make it harder for the IT people who are used to the old setup. It would make more sense if they introduced something similar to Live USBs or downloaded the installation files from the remote repository to make the image lighter because those changes have actual real benefits compared to what they are doing now.

hi mate is there any fix for the touchpad for the xp experience sp1 as its not moving when on the install page on laptop or any update coming where the touchpad is fixed please thanks

It's a total mess
Windows Vista/7 window style
Windows 10 font
Buttons are styled Win11
WinXP mouse pointer

i’m suprised they didn’t make a fake windows 11 like theme to reskin the non dwm windows vista theme but that would take days to do that

Windows 95 until XP had basically the same setup, with graphical changes only. Then came the Vista overhaul, and we're here first seeing the new Setup experience that will be there for the next 15 years of Windows.

Even Windows 98 and XP installations were more interesting, but i guess extreme simplicity took the place.. And still no option to import your backed up Windows settings ... They could get rid of OOBE right from the start but keep the legacy ones for OEM

I kinda prefer the old one but I’m open to change I install windows a lot and recently too and it was the old set up are you sure it’s not an insider build
