I've seen some of the BTS footage for the Inception fights. They literally built a giant rolling tumbler gimmick which is the featured hotel hallway. And the actors fight as it rolls around. Sometimes to make it work you can't always rely on just computer technology. Which is a nice testament to practical effects in that there will ALWAYS be room for practical effects as well as its required necessity.
