I've gotten a lot better at making videos since this one if you guys want to subscribe and keep watching.

the 30fps is unplayable for me. Even in town the movement got way slower. And don't get me started on the battles. The game was made 60fps in the battles so it can be fast and smooth. All smoothness is gone due the 30fps... it feels very cluncky when I perform the combo

I love the pc version but I played the original in the GameCube and watching this video just bummed me out, the 60 fps looks so damn fluid.

@ 2:22 actually you'd be wrong with that statement, going from a PS2 (which uses MIPS III architecture) to a PS3 (which uses a PPC hybrid also known as Cell architecture) is far more difficult due to the massive architecture differences) than it would be going from Gamecube to PS3, as the Gamecubes CPU uses the PPC architecture, and the general purpose core in the PS3 is also PPC architecture.

Thank you for this video! I saw this game available on steam for sale and decided to do some research before grabbing it. Glad I did.

Hey the game works fine on dolphin emu just the first intro still lags but that's a problem the problem is the Flanoir city when I enter it lags because of the snowing like the game speed drops to half, is there anyway to fix that from the settings ?

The Gamecube version IS blurry though. There's a blur filter used.

I am the modder who wrote Tales of Zestiria "Fix", by the way ;) This game will run at 60 FPS on PC too even despite their BS anti-tamper.

It's criminal how much better the Gamecube version looks.

If somebody has an issue running the game in dolphin just used the better optimized version of Dolphin called Ishiiruka and also turning the internal resolution lower than 1080p also helps immensley

If I had to guess why the PC (and PS3) Port of this game is 30 FPS is probably Because of the Multiplayer, in the NGC Port the camera stayed on Player 1 (and that's not fun for players 2, 3, and 4) but in the PC it was fixed... this Comparison is mostly on FPS but its a choice, Better Multiplayer Camera (PC/PS3) or Better FPS (NGC). Also the PS3 comes with both games for the price of 1.

So Glad I still have my Game Cube Version. Might just Rip the ISO so I can use it on Dolphin.

So... GC better than the PC (steam) version/port? I saw it on sale for $5.99 on steam that's why I got curious about this game.

My PS3 copy of Tales of Symphonia Chronicles has a few translation errors but everything else works great. :) Honestly, with japan being so stingy with their content, I'm glad I got the new version. I hate missing out on extra stuff. *Glares at Vesperia*

Pirated it to test the waters. Holy CRAP is it worse than the GameCube version! Do yourself a favor, download Dolphin and play this game there. Way better. Not even worth pirating, emulating is your best bet.

Sorry to burst your bubble But All the extra stuff like animated scenes and outfits found that are like Sony editions is not Sony editions All the stuff in the PS3 version of tales of symphonia It's content that was already in the game on game cube when it was in Japan even the original intro song is from the game cube version in Japan Sony didn't add anything to the game it's just when they released it in America they put it on game tube and they also change the song to a Symphony orchestra for the American version When the original song Was the woman you hear on the PS3 version Actually is the original game cube song from the Japanese game cube version so technically it's the game cube version from Japan Ported to playstation 2 and then ported to playstation 3 That's probably what the remastered version is it's a remastered version of the Japanese game cube version of the game Most digital games back then ran at 60 frames per 2nd it was kinda a common thing even nintendo And super nintendo games Even the arcade versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in time arcade ran at 60 frames per 2nd And when it comes to WIIU NES Virtual console And the original NES Castlevania 1987 you can tell that it's running at 60 frames per 2nd because of how fast Trevor is going across the screen Cause I need original cartridge I had my cartridge and my instruction manual and my Box Said Trevor Belmont And the title screen backed was black not Brown It was only when I played the virtual council version It said Simon Belmont 1987 castlevania In the bat was made Brown But when I own the original cartridge And my instruction manual in the back of my package of castlevania 1980 Devon even when I beat the game said Trevor Belmont the artwork was even a drawing of Trevor in my instruction manual The only time I ever played castlevania 1997 when it said Said Simon Belmont when I beat the game Was on Wii and WIIU Virtual versions I think that's why Namco Bandai Is releasing tales of symphonia remastered Defix the PS3 errors And make the game as flawless as it's game cube counterpart don't know apart it's a possibility the switch Version Tales of symphonia remastered We'll probably have help from nintendo because namco And nintendo has worked together on many projects for nintendo's 1st party titles like smash brothers And the ultimate version And Mario kart games And probably also super Mario Odyssey So if Symphonia remastered F namco and nintendo Work together like they did with nintendo's 1st party titles who knows we might actually get our 60 frames per 2nd at least on the switch Cause the switch version is probably the remastered port of the Japanese game cube version Because all the stuff you said Sony added to it That's not true that content was not added by Sony and neither was the intro music none of that stuff in the PS3 was added by Sony that was all in the original game cube version in Japan So nothing was added when they released it outside of Japan on the American gamecube they cut stuff out and change the original intro music to a Symphony orchestra when it was originally saying that that Japanese woman you see on YouTube was the original person that sang the song because the American version of tales of symphonia is not the original intro music It was replaced with a Symphony orchestra the original intro music is a Japanese song cause I saw the original game cube version of the Japanese version Nothing was added by Sony That's false information because I saw somebody playing the original Japanese game cube version because a friend of mine had the a stump before the PS3 version was even released before playstation even had the game on playstation 2 in Japan and before the HD Version was released on PS3 Back in 2004 A friend of my name Jason Had the Japanese game cube I went over his house and watched him play tales of symphonia On his Japanese game cube All the additional animated scenes and extra outfits were a part of the game originally on the Japanese game cube version so Sony did not add anything that's false information What you played on PS3 except for the frame rate Was a bad version of the Japanese game cube version That was badly ported But I think nowadays I think the company's better at porting games now and probably when they do it on the sbitch they'll probably be working with nintendo on symphonia remastered because they worked with nintendo and nintendo's own 1st party titles so if nintendo helps them out maybe we'll get back to 60 frames at least for people that owe me down the switch Which means like all other ports and nintendo's the only one that will have the good frame rate. Because nintendo likes us I mean there was even an interview with the president of namco And Doug bowser We're willing to make symphonia remasperiod for the switch only and work together to make the game restoring its original wonderful game cube experience plus with the original game cube Japanese bonuses And the remastered version will have both entro music choices so you can choose which entro music you Want to hear But it will probably still be saying by the Japanese woman it's just an instead of a Symphony orchestra for the original American intro it'll just have the Japanese woman sing the song instead making it feel like a real Japanese RPG Which if you listen to both intros you can tell the songs are different Because the one that sang the song for the PS3 version Of symphonia HD It's the same woman that sang the song for the Japanese gamecube version Because the American game cube version is a cut version The remastered version will be a Japanese game cube version uncut like a directors cut version of it Cause all those additional sidequest and outfits and more animated scenes in the game were in the original Japanese game cube version Sony didn't add anything Cause when the president of namco And Doug bowser talked Doug found out that everything that people thought Sony added to the PS3 version was not true all of it was in the original game cube version in Japan it's just that namco Because they were using many disks and the game cue version had to cut a lot of corners so a lot of stuff got cut out but the remastered version is supposed to be the version of the game conversion we originally were supposed to get The only difference between the Japanese game cube version And the remastered version is just the color of the title screen letters being red instead of blue Because if you watch somebody play the original game cube version in Japan you would notice Sony didn't add anything to the game It's just a realize the PS3 version is this the bad Japanese game cube port Technically According to namco President they don't even consider dawn of a new world even a part of the franchise because they considered an insult in a disappointment to the series and a joke That's The president of namco Decided to abandon dawn of a new world Cause it was an insult to the tales of series It was a mistake project that basically no fan light even the company itself didn't even like it Which makes it much easier for the company to focus On Remastered symphonia Making it easier to get the porting rid of all those PS3 mistakes. I think it was only outside of Japan symphonia ran at 60 frames per 2nd But you gotta admit nowadays like games like the resident evils And Dead or alive 6 You can only choose between graphics or frame rate Plus the company probably thinks when it comes to remastered symphonia They figured a lot of people like you and fans would probably enjoy the improved visuals over frame rate Cause most games nowadays can only allow you to choose graphics over frame rate you can only have one or the other you can't have both at the same time cove scuz of the change in technology In plus when it came to the American gamecube back then nintendo had a habit of overclocking games Enforcing companies to run at 60 instead of letting a company choose their own frame rate. As long as the game looks good and plays nice isn't that all it's important I mean with the switch if you wanted your 60 frames per 2nd on symphonia they could have made you play the game in the original game cube graphics or the remastered graphics And because of certain functions that the switch does with the gyro function take it out of the switch in that 1 building instead of the game cube icon In that prison branch that Lloyd escape from Where you saw the game cube system now on the switch it would make more sense by using the switch icon cause the switch does a gyro thing like that too because there's a certain part of breath of the wild that requires the controller to be flipped like that when it comes to one of the shrines So unlike other systems like xbox and Sony The switch icon being put in that prison that Lloyd escapes from Of the one ranch Would make perfect sense because the switch uses gyro option for certain games like breath of the wild We're that 1 shrine you had to use the gyro option to move around the marble to make it open up certain areas so you can get further into the shrine So replacing on the game cube system with the switch system instead would not be a bad idea considering the switch does use a gyro system for some of its games Like that Marvel option for getting through certain areas in that 1 shrine and breath of the wild
