Reviews of Books I Haven't Read in Years:

A series where I go back to review books in my collection that I have not read in a decade or more. I am not looking up the books online. I am not reading the back of the book. I am not reading excerpts. I am literally picking it up off my shelf and seeing what I remember.

*** Like seriously, don't trust anything I say.

I literally haven't read these books in years. Hence the title of the series.

Fun fact, in about 4th grade or so, I picked up the last book of this series by accident from the library. There was no clear marking that it was part of a series on that specific cover. SO like partway thru when I'm like "did I miss something" I read on one of the inner pages, you know the list of the series that I am in fact reading the last book. I remember liking it. I picked up the dark in rising years later interested in reading the series as a whole and my attention span just would not last thru the first book. I did that more than once, getting the first book from the library and attempting to read it and just meandering off to other things. but Silver on the Tree, while I don't really remember anything that happened, left enough of an impression on young me that I remember the title over 20 years later. And my brain goes "yeah, Susan Cooper is awesome" without any memories of why I thought so...
