Pie Maker Sticky Date Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce

Let me introduce you to one of my yummy true loves. Sticky Date Pudding cooked in my Kmart Pie Maker and served with vanilla ice cream and warm butterscotch sauce. Life is good and even better with this. Scroll down for the full written recipe.
What You’ll Need
makes 4 in the Kmart pie maker
For the pudding
85g dried dates – pitted and thinly sliced
½ teaspoon baking powder
125ml water
30g butter
85g brown sugar
1 eggs, lightly beaten
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
85g sifted self raising flour
For the Sauce
100g brown sugar
60g butter
¼ cup thick cream
What To Do
Add dates, baking powder and water into a saucepan and simmer while stirring until dates break down. Turn off heat and cool slightly.
Add butter and stir until melted.
Stir in brown sugar until combined and then add the egg and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
Fold in flour a little bit at a time until combined.
Evenly fill the cold pie maker cups with the mixture and cook for about 7 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
Allow to cool in pie maker.
For sauce, place all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened.
Serve with vanilla ice cream and cover generously with sauce.
