Do the four ethernet ports in the back act like a Switch? Can I run an ethernet cable from my router to get this AP up and running for my wireless devices, but also use the remaining three ethernet ports to connect devices to my original router that way?

Your video is still helping people years later. Thank so much for keeping on YouTube for reference. Just helped me install a unit at my work today. Many blessings to you!!!

You didn't show how you set the IP address. You just connect it and that's it.

I have a situation, in my house there's a nighthawk router, and I need wifi and lan ports all the way across our property where there is no wifi, so can I use a 100ft cat 7 cable from my router to this, and use the access point as some sort of router that also contains wired ethernet ports?

I have a large piece of property that has my house, and a large metal building. My wifi goes outside, but it does not make it through the walls of the metal building. The metal building is about 100 ft away from my house. Right now I have an underground pipe that allows for me to run wires easily to the building. I am considering this device so that I can run a long ethernet cable through the pipe, and into the building. One end of the wire will stick into the back of my house router, and the other will connect to this guy at the building (probably 100 or so feet away). I want to get wifi in my building. I use a laptop out there, and a phone, tablet. I am tired of having to come inside the house or step outside to get online.

This product is a little confusing. Where is the LAN input? How does it get internet signal? It looks like the 4 ports in the back are for output to devices like a PC
