I don't think he was embellishing, was fully extended trying to grab the puck and got his arm pulled so he lost balance. Players fall on the ice all the time with little to no help, doesn't mean their diving, its a game played on a slippery surface that's kinda the point.
Not like he flopped on the ground, he was back on his stakes in less than 2 seconds.

Wasn't a hook either tho.
