I had to buy a controller recently and used this to replace my Elite controller. I was completely surprised how good this was. My Elite controller was dying and I needed something to hold me over till I get a replacement. This was more than I expected.

These are on sale right now as well, with a huge variety available. Check them out on Amazon, target, Walmart, Gamestop etc!

I’ve had one of a similar style for a couple years and it’s still working mostly fine. My only issue is that the right trigger over time got a bit springy and spongy feeling. You can actually hear the spring moving when you put your ear up to it. For the price not a bad series of controllers at all! I’d still personally spend the extra cash for an official one but for a budget controller it’s excellent.

The PowerA wired controller is officialiy licensed by Microsoft and the bottom 2 buttons should be mappable in Steam therefore giving you greater flexibility. I personally use either a standard xbox controller or a DS4 wired and my preference is a DS4 - as the trackpad is also mappable giving you 5 extra buttons - four on each side of the trackpad (think of it as a elongated D pad) and the middle of the trackpad. So in a survival game like Icarus this comes in extremely handy. Not to mention using something like Joy2Key you can map the trackpad as a mouse - heck you can map any controller as a mouse.

Got one second hand from an older brother. Took almost a year of use (some months of his use. Mind you he is extremely rough on his controllers due to rage.) And began showing signs of stick drift. I stopped using it, and my dad started using it for his PC. He cleaned it, which helped, but he found that, contrary to popular belief, karate chopping the drifting joystick, can help. I know, I know. Terrible. But it worked. Giving the price, I'd say it's worth it.

Great informational video there! Just what i needed :)
My Razer Wildcat is currently sadly dying after 6 years and im looking for a budget alternative until i saved up for a better controller. My only concern are however the already mentioned deadzones, because my main game is For Honor, which is highly reactive. As i've seen, you still respond to people, mid helping me out and testing two things if possible?
My first concern are indeed, how big the deadzones are and further, if you let go after a full tilt of the stick, does is rebound into the other direction?

I got a powerA controller a few years ago. And it's so great, but recently I got some really bad left stick drift. But sadly the reviews don't seem as great and I can't find the exact controller I use. I don't know if the quality has gone down or anything

I've had this same controller for over a couple years and it's just now starting to drift with the left stick, and I game almost every day. Feels loose so I'd say it's the spring or whatever. So I'd say I definitely got my money out of it lol. Not a bad choice in my opinion. Buying another right now.

It's been 3 months or so by now, how is the controller holding up for you? Or do you still even use it? Only asking because many reviewers tend to review a product without ever really testing it fully. Good, honest reviews are so hard to come by in these times.

ive had the day one edition xbox one controller since it came out and it works just fine to this day, that being said. a year after gettring this controller it is already degraded. Mind you i am very gentle with my tech, always keep it clean and maintain it, the triggers wont go to 100% making shooting and driving hard on games like cod and gta. and it will randomly disconect even with a secure cable. its a shame, i really enjoyted it while it lasted butwill not be buying again

I bough the powerA wired controller and it's really really bad. The joysticks have issue with diagonal and won't recognize them. Doesn't matter how you calibrate it.

They don't sell that cable. I've seen PowerA reps state that specifically.

Hey guys! I know nothing about controllers (Using PC my whole life). However, I am searching for a budget one to try out in some racing games like for example Forza Horizon 5. Gaming on keyboard is fine for the most part, but I want to be able to adjust the amount of throttle and brakes applied at given situation. Sadly on the keyboard you can only apply 100% in turning, braking and accelerating. Could someone suggest what should I be looking for and if this one is the type of controller that I need for my PC?
Thanks a lot.

PS. Great Video.

lol I m using one now. Been using PowerA controllers for about 12 years on PC. Had 3 in that time a xbox360, xbox1, and xbox series SeX. They last me about 3 or 4 year each. Plus there cheap, I pick them up when they go on sale for 25$.
