Quick tip for the depths, if you get your hands on a skeleton horse you won't have to worry about the gloom on the floor. Those things can stand on it which allows you to explore underground much faster while riding one.

Pro tip: don't get confused as to what the fuse ability does. Not fully understanding it, I fused the claymore with my shield thinking, for whatever reason, it'd increase the durability. It, in fact, did not. Instead, I now have a shield with a giant ass rusty claymore point straight up. It's beautiful actually

Austin John on the grind when a new game drops is my favorite era of Austin John

Tip: Similar to BOTW, you can use Ultrahand/Fuse to check missed items or hidden chests under water

Quick tip for those who don’t know, apparently you can feed a horse an apple to tame it. Just in case you were having a difficult time actually taming it. Don’t know if this was obvious or not.

Just gotta say, I started watching your videos when BOTW came out. I found them highly informative and entertaining. Ever since they announced TOTK, I’ve been eagerly waiting for you to pump out videos. And man, you do not disappoint. Hats off to you dude! Keep ‘em coming!

Note: if you have registered horses in Botw, any stable you go into in TOTK will have your horses. you just have to go through their dialogue and they will say they have your horses

I’m in such a confusing spot. I love Austin and his content, but I also just kinda wanna experience all this Zelda stuff for myself. So I’m just letting the videos play in the other room to support you, but it’ll be a few weeks before I come watch any haha

"Go to the Rito first"
So _exactly_ like Breath of the Wild, then. The Rito are clearly the optimal choice to visit first... even if I went to the Zora my first BoTW playthrough.

Super quick tip for caves. Every cave has one magic frog inside, that drops the bubblegems. You will know that you got the frog for each cave if the cave shows a checkmark on it in the map

for blurpees, id recommend gliding if you can then aim the bow, you can land at least a few shots for more rupees with the slow motion.

Another easy but great armor to get early on: go to the great tree stump west of lookout landing and you can find the Fierce Diety Boots there. I stumbled on them by accident in my first play through and they are great because it doesnt overlap with barbarian armor so you can stack them

Yo, props on having Link pose like that iconic, "Is this a pigeon?" meme, Austin, already loving the chaotic goodness coming from Tears 👏😂🎉

I gotta say, I don't usually stay on a tutorial/game tips channel after I've watched the video I was looking for. But Austin is exceptional, and I find myself just watching his videos for fun, rather than trying to get any information from it.

Quick tip: If you're having trouble with the hot or cold, fusing a Ruby to a weapon will keep you warmer while it's equipped and even melt ice chunks if you stand close. Fusing a sapphire will cool you down. This way you can do the Wind Temple without any cold reduction clothing, or with one piece and not worrying about food.

Also using fire against an ice creature or ice against a fire creature is often a one hit kill (especially against lizalfos)

Just mentioning a little something that not many people seem to know about.

When playing Tears of the Kingdom, remember to play it on the same console where you played BotW.
The game reads if you have both save files and gives you some extra things. One of which being that any and all horses you had registered on BotW will appear on the stable once you are registered there.
And if you already had Epona, you can get a second one if you use the corresponding amiibo for the first time.

Just wanted to say: you’re a rockstar.

Been hear since BOTW and LOVE your content.

I’ve been looking forward to your coverage of this game as much as I’ve been the game.

You got a busy couple of weeks and hopefully you can find time to enjoy ‘just’ playing and relaxing.

6:49 I think it actually IS a traditional shrine, but Sheikah Shrines and Shrines of Light are very different from real-world shrines.

Recalling the rocks that fall from the sky is singlehandedly the most useful tip in this game

Looking forward to picking this game up today, though I'll admit I got a little sad when John said no more whistle sprinting...I loved whistle sprinting in botw...!😢 still excited for the new game though!
