Actually in the manga they explain the fused Dialga and Palkia. When they were fighting Dialga and Palkia at the top of Mount Coronet, space and time were warping in a way that made the two look like one Pokemon. They determined that the people who built the statue in Eterna city must've seen them when space and time were bending around them.

I always thought the statues in the original RBY games were Rhydon, as Rhydon uses the same menu icon and Rhydon was the first Pokemon programmed in.

I believe that the creatures that appear as statues aren't actual Pokémon but more akin to gargoyles in our world, mythological creatures born purely from imagination, and not based of of any real observations. In any case, really interesting video, as always!

The idea of a paradox floette as a boss/legendary in the expansions makes a lot of sense though

In Scarlet it is implied the infant is Rabsca real body. So this is a contradiction between Scarlet and Violet.

6:01 I disagree about Eternal Flower Floette. The idea of Azett spending eons on this earth searching for forgiveness from his friend finally attained said forgiveness and then just gives it away always was contrived to me.
If anything I would want King Azett to be a Postgame Boss with Eternal Flower Floette as his Ace.

As with the Celesteela pre-evo, it could be a possibility that many ultra beasts could be final forms of their lines from their native worlds.

Those statues are supposed to be the original Pokémon overworld sprite (for Pokémon like Rhydon and Mewtwo) in Gen 1.

I know this wasn’t in the video but what about the true dragon aka the complete reshiram, zekrom, and kyurem fusion that is largely hinted at in the gen 5 games? With this, I would say that we need a legends unova game

Crystal Onix from the anime definitely needs to be added into the games, and possibly be given an evolutionary stage. On the flip side, there are many large Pokémon that need to get a baby form/pre-evolution.

Some of the Pokémon in this video makes me think back to that image I saw with the newborn Vulpix having only one white tail. Maybe the baby forms of Kangaskhan and Celesteela are simply how the look while they’re young while the infant Rabsca has is more of an embryo

I think the baby Celesteela and Kangaskhan are still the same Pokemon, and they just slowly change as they age instead of evolving like most Pokemon do. Shellder's evo is definitely it's own Pokemon, though. It'd be cool to see a regional Shellder with a new evo based on it or something.

An episode of Master Quest shows the Kangaskahn baby outside of the pouch, during which its just referred to as a Kangaskahn.

Should have mentioned the substitute doll, especially because like the gym statues, we don’t see an actual Pokémon that resembles it in the games

"Hey dude what's your favorite Pokemon?" "the unnamed larva form of rellor bro"

8:16 my head cannon is they’re paying tribute to scrapped Pokémon. Many of which we’ll never know about

I'm pretty sure that the Eterna City statue is supposed to be a representation of "Almighty Sinnoh" from PLA before the two tribes find out that it's actually two separate beings - Dialga and Palkia. It's a nice easter egg if you think about it.

I do think the gym statues are heavily stylised Charizards though, at least the ones in BDSP

Gamefreak has already said that Slowpoke aren't really hurt by losing their tail and they grow back quickly if lost. With all the regional and alternate form Pokemon at this point, there isn't any reason not to add Taaban at this point. I've wanted this since 1997.
