So about 4 years ago I decided to sell my house to get rid of my mortgage, cash in on the equity, and go buy 9 acres out in the country with a singlewide and two car garage in cash. I did this because I feared that someday banks would find a way to debank me and somehow find a way to wrongfully seize my home by foreclosure. I know that sounds a bit irrational, but BOA bought my mortgage and I do not trust them at all. I have no regrets and I am happy to be mortgage free.

Sadly, banks continue to stumble, mortgage rates is on the rise with higher imports and lower exports, yet the FED is to lessen cost. So, where do we grow and safeguard our money now? something will eventually break if they keep raising interests and quantitative tightening.

Thank you for confirming my own idea of accounts at two different banks as well as two different deposits going in each one. I keep enough money in the bank to pay the bills, the rest I keep in cash – hidden of course. This approach has served me well here in Canada in my retirement

Wells Fargo closed me & my wife accounts after 26 years both checking & savings. They went from thanking us every time we went to the bank to sudden closure. When asked why? They said they do not have to give a reason? We have no loans. Checking account was always in good. standings. Thank you for this video. This has been the only explanation so far.

Most banks won't let you break a $20 bill unless you have an account with them.

The main thing to consider, I think, is that credit unions are non-profit and owned by the members whereas banks are for profit.

A young lady I've known since she was a child was debanked by Chase. She was dumfounded as to why. Her friend was a teller at the bank and said she would try to find out why. It turned out that while she was between jobs she took a job as a waitress at a popular bar and was making good tips. Depositing 3 to 4 hundred dollars in cash every month. The bank fearing drug money debanked her.

That’s interesting because my wife works for US bank and some informed her that they are closing a huge department and sending the jobs to India along with the CASH VAULT!! And guess where the CEO of 6 months is from…, INDIA!!

I did this a few years ago when a lawyer blocked my bank account. My paycheck goes a few places.
