📍Dandong, China/North Korea Border

Come with us to investigate what really goes on, on the China/North Korea border. A town which reputation has been lied about through the media, and even on Youtube videos. But we went to seek the truth, no bulls**t, no lies, no exaggeration of police presence, just true, honest, travel. This border stands as a stark reminder of the Cold War era, where America, China, and North Korea each took their places in a high-stakes global chess game. We hear stories of life along the North Korea border, make contact with a North Korean Soldier and show you how the Chinese like to party whilst face to face with the worlds most isolated country.

1 month and you manage to have full conversations in Chinese? How? That’s impressive!

I only just come across your channel literally within the last few days. I am completely mesmerised with your videos. I love travel videos, but your videos are on a different level to everyone else I watch. Thanks for opening my eyes to places I have not even heard of. 😊

At 5:06, the old man asked "Is that your wife? Your wife is beautiful." The word he used was "Fu Ren" (wife), instead of "Fu Wu Yuan" (waitress) LOL

This guy could pick up Korean if he continued to stare at the border across the river for another week

As an American, I love seeing your China videos. Sure everything might not be perfect there, but where is it perfect at? Just because they don’t trust imperialistic mindsets, doesn’t mean they are mean or weird! Judge nations on their people, not just what your government says about their government!

China went into the Korean War with the Allied Army because they've pushing too close to the Chinese borders and the Chinese weren't too comfortable about having the Americans too close to their doorstep. So they pushed the American and Allied forces way back to where the North-South divide is today.

Well done for your Chinese, Jack! - If you want a more accurate intonation, ask your tutor about the four tones (it will definitely help). For example mā: (steady tone) for "mother" má: (rising tone) for "numb" like mala hotpot mǎ: for "horse" mà: (duo tone) and mà for "scolding". The spelling is the same for the four words but the focus is on the 'accent' symbol ( or diacritic)
