2015 Tao Bull 150 long term review

Показать описание
6 year review of Tao Bull 150
PROS:
Cheap
Parts are cheap.
150 GY6 motor is powerful, reliable, and easy to maintain.
Automatic
Good on gas.
Easy for adults and larger children to ride.
Easy to work on if you are mechanically inclined and/or can follow directions.
CONS:
Front headlights are super dim.
Front shocks are way too tight from factory.
Metal tubing will require another coat of paint or paint touch ups and/or some attention to avoid too much rust developing.
Gotta work out the “China quirks”, which for us were as follows:
Replaced burned out stator once.
Replaced CDI once.
Replaced stock chain with quality DID Japanese chain (a common issue with Chinabikes).
Replaced stock battery. It was junk (another common issue with Chinabikes).
Replaced rear disc brake assembly due to master cylinder piston touching exhaust and frying entire brake assembly. We had to modify exhaust with a heat resistant spacer to keep it from touching the brake.
Replaced rear LED light.
Replaced rear rack bracket due to weld cracking.
Rebuilt entire fuel line system; Chinese tubing was junk.
All in all, a great 👍 purchase that will last a long time for the $ as long as you can do some wrenching.
