A child who's reasonably good playing tactical video games could have set up a more secure perimeter on both occasions.

*A local sheriff canine unit could have flushed that guy out EASY! Why didn't the Secret Service sweep the perimeter when this area is well-known for paparazzi hiding in the bushes to get pictures of Trump playing golf! PROBLEM SOLVED!*

They don't need a paragon shift. They need to be held accountable for many crimes starting back on Jan 6th and well before then.

if he was a real sniper nobody would have ever seen him

Pretty certain that the secret service isn’t the actual problem here.

If doj had done their job years ago, and taken this criminal off the streets, this wouldn’t be happening now.

It is not an “attempt” when the “target” set the whole thing up.🤦‍♂️

They won’t need to worry about that for long.

It be more secure for DT if he was finally sentenced for his 34 felonies and behind the protection of bars.

When a guy constantly spews hateful rhetoric about immigrants and anyone else who crosses his path without bending the knee including members of his own party and that person claims to be a billionaire, then what is wrong with him spending some of his hoarded money to pay for some of his own security? Why should taxpayers foot the bill for someone bringing this on himself?

Some people think it's their god given right and business to marginalize others by trying to make EVERYONE live in fear ... They see others who think and believe differently as not being equal human beings ... You can't spew lies that create hatred and chaos without the negative side effects and consequences ... You reap what you sew, it's a Universal Law and it can't be changed.

No one figured out it would take more man power to protect a traitor who committed treason?

If Trump wants to keep on golfing, he should arrange his own security. Why should the American people have to keep on paying for his golf outings?

The ear knows the truth, Trump knows very little of anything resembling morals and accountability

The real problem was stated, but not focused on: they broke the aura.... for years we have been told that the Secret Service is unbelievably great, the best of the best of the best! Nearly godlike in ability. The truth is, they are just human. A substantial part of who they were was hype and marketing. Are they good? Yes, but they were presented like they were virtually magical, and now it's been shown they are human.

The fact is, no one is as good as they have been painted, except in movies. Now we need to deal with reality.

It is just like with the capital building - we're have been told for years that it is the most secure building on earth. That it would take an army with tanks, etc, to penitrate its defenses - after Jan 6, we know better.

To much has been hype and marketing, and people are starting to learn the truth.

Not just in the US, all over the world. Look at Russia - nobody doubted that Putin could take Ukraine in a few days because everyone believed he had an army that only the full might of the US could stand up to... turns out, not so true. What happened in Israel was impossible - until it wasn't, and on and on.

The whole world is built on hype, and as long as the hype is believed, everything is safe ... but now people are challenging the hype.

The secret service is very good, but not super human, the US capitol is good, but not impenetrable, the elections are run well, but not beyond being corrupted.

It always was hype and the willingness of the people to believe it.

May I humbly suggest that the Secret Service invite all their [recently] retired agants back into service, albeit on a temporary basis, to cover the apparent lack of staff... these people are obviously well-trained and focussed and are clearly committed to serving their country.
