Ashley Hearth Wood Stove Insert Review

Here is a brief overview on the pros and cons of the Ashley Hearth 1200 sqft wood stove insert. I installed this in the summer of 2021 and have been using it regularly through the cold season. Question and comment below. Like and Subscribe!!!

Good review, thank you. Where is the air intake for the firebox on this unit? I'm hoping to duct outside air into my eventual future woodstove, and I'm trying to figure out how easy or hard that would be on this one.

We clean a little throughout winter but the deep clean comes after the last burn

Nice Fireplace looks good most of the Euro units are up to about plus 80 percent efficiency ratings.
Did you install it with ceramic blanket also 200 above the unit you can install angle iron and 1.2 mm galv plate with more ceramic blanket on top.
This prevents any excess heat loss up the chimney.

You posted this a year ago - still happy with it overall, or regretting it? I'm considering this and another budget model. This one actually has a larger firebox than the other I'm looking at, but would sit more flush with my fireplace front. I want to use it primarily in the evenings and overnight, definitely not every night. Upgrading from an open fireplace.

Can the electrical cord be installed on the left side of the fan assembly? How did you get the stove in position on the hearth?

How to keep glass clean and what is the best way to clean the glass

I just used this for the first time. One issue I found is that when it is cooled, there are some ash smell coming from the blower and lower front vents. No such issue when it is burning high. Any idea?

What kind of flex pipe- we had a chimney company tell we couldn’t install our insert bc the liner was 6 or 8 inches and our chimney is very narrow? Only 3-4 inch but 2 ft wide-
We are curious how our Ashley stove would burn without a liner?

How many logs would you say you can fit in it? I just install mine and I'm not notcing a ton of heat output. I maybe burn about 2 logs at a time though

Is the chimney pipe necessary or can it just dump straight into my chimney, my chimney drafts very well

Which kit did u get for the chimney pipe? Does it matter? Any stainless steel pipe?

I received mine today there is insulation in the top. It would block the exhaust, do I remove that.
