Well, I never reboot my OS. I always clean install arch linux everyday after using it, so no need to reboot.

CUPS is my favorite linux software suite, I use CUPS to preform unauthenticated remote code execution on other linux machines, as well as other unix like systems 😊

My favorite command is 'shutdown - r now.' I have never used the reboot command.

init 6 bro here, I remember some older RHEL systems sometimes had a weird bug that froze the system when you tried to run reboot instead of init 6

There is this microsoft veteran youtuber dave (dave's garage). He shared some nice insights about the difference between cold starts versus warm starts on windows. Restarting apparently does something different to powering off and then starting up. Is this also true on linux?

I labeled this guy as the sort of guy to answer these questions and he doesn’t disappoint. Of course I think most distros use a visual interface but maybe they say “restart” and the devil is in the details. Of course when using windows I actually get the notifications and click later and the “shutdown /r /t 000 or maybe add some time if she’s warm. I’d like to know what actually process someone tunneling in to your Linux could get. I presume encrypting a file while no hardware is in the computer to connect to any wavelengths or rfi in anyway, and it’s a fresh install you can encrypt and put the key on paper or remember it and then just move it to the computer that’s your daily driver and even then who cares if they grab it especially if there is no scrap processes laying around

I used sudo init for this.

I can't remember if I used 2 or 6.

shutdown -r now, if you must. You should also sync twice before, just in case.
