For those taking notes. RWS is not a Range While Scan mode. It is a Range While Search mode as this mode is used to search targets on the TID. Pulse Search and Pulse Doppler Search are search modes specifically for the DDD.
PD + PDS = DDD
RWS + TWS = TID
Also keep in mind that TWS Auto does not work in DCS right now. Maybe in the future. It's best to stick with TWS Manual anyway as this mode allows you to manually adjust the radars azimuth on the TID for example in case of a crank maneuver after firing on a hostile target.

Just got into DCS and had to have the tomcat and your tutorials make it easy. Thanks. Having a blast so far.

You produce incredible videos covering the DCS F-14. I do not have the time in my life to devote to this amazing simulator but as someone who loves and misses the F-14 I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos for their educational value.

Peace.

Gotta hand it to you sir. I finally learned about the AWG-9, lessened my fear of trying out at being a RIO. I still wish Jester would do everything for me though. I just wanna point and shoot things :P

There is just so much too the AN/AWG-9 system that you have to pore over it and even watch other streamers videos to help build a full understanding - whilst practicing yourself as RIO. Its so deep that I don't think there's any single video that can explain it all properly in one go because because we, the target audience, have different levels of experience and our experience changes constantly.Great video Capt'n. Tough job all round for anyone to try to explain this system.

It's amazing that a video game strives to be real world realistic to the point that it historically accurate to the actual aircraft down to the specific system or button.

I believe the target numbering did not bump up to 4 is because you only had 3 Phoenix missiles left at that point to cover the remaining targets. So, no point in numbering priority for a target you didn't have missiles for. Also you said you were going to talk about TWS-M but didn't.

Thank you for this video. Finally someone dug in deep for us. Great job. Im new to flying online, I would love to get to fly with you guys. I was getting frusterated with Jester, but I was activating ACM everytime....so he just took a nap every flight. Tried to eject him.

Awesome video, Glad you are using the TrackIR lock, Hope it's making it easier for you to concentrate on what you are saying rather than where your head is pointing. Good job! (Ripcord) Oh, one more thing. You didn't have a number 4 target(1:21:15) because you only had 3 PH missiles left. It will only number the targets for the amount of missiles you have on hand.

Is it normal that sometimes I'm struggling to find the targets on the TID? Even tho I'm trying to adjust the radar elevation... ?

Sometimes they just pop out and sometimes even when they are in visual range I can't seem to get them on my radar... frustrating

What (videos) do I have to watch if I am, for the moment, not interested in the RIO part, but only want to be in the cockpit and do my things from there and let AI Jester do all the rest, and/or, is it important to watch this video entirely if I am not going to RIO myself?

I am watchin the miniature picture and i see below the nose cone a TV and IR sensor... so this tomcat should be a D model, and of it's a D that radar isn't a AWG9, it's an APG71 ??

Where can I find the tables of information? Is there a website that has more that I can read?
