A Pyx is also a box used to store (Reserve) the consecrated host (wafer) at Mass.

Id visit the abbey but its very expensive to do so and often a wueue a mile long. So i just enjoy taking a few photos from the outside

One of the medication administration machines I’ve used working in hospitals is called the Pyxis. 😊

A Pyx is a case used, by Priests and those who visit the ill and homebound, bringing them the Holy Eucharist. That's a thing I know of Church details in the US.
