I went there once for a day, I think it was in 1975 on the old Scillonian Ferry from Penzance, the sea was rough and people were ill, I loved it. But once we arrived it was much calmer and even sunny and warm between the islands, to the west I could see the jagged rocks sticking out of the sea like teeth, menhirs and tombs littered the islands - it is Lyonnesse. I was just 10 years old at the time and it remains a vivid memory. It is a haunting and remote place and the experience has stayed with me all my life.

Not England, Cornwall. Cornwall is a kingdom with it's own culture and language. They are closer to them than England
