As a boy I’d enjoy learning all about animals.
As a child I was wild for the fish in the sea,
and without any doubt you stood out as the champion
and I knew it was true where I wanted to be.

When they said you were dead they were showing their ignorance.
You’re renowned you’re profound you’re alive and you’re strong.
In my mind you’re sublime and i think that the world should know.
I attest you’re the best so i made you a song.

Coelacanth.
Coelacanth.
Coelacanth.
There is no better than, I will take all I can
Coelacanth.
Coelacanth.
Coelacanth.

Missing link’s out of sync with the crazy world of today.
You were gone for so long, didn’t know what to do.
Is it wrong there’s a song that is called Barracuda?
There is none, not a one, that is named after you.

...Dedicated to Michael Moore (not the filmmaker, the Thickets superfan)

Where can you get Thickets merchandise like shirts, hoodies, tote bags, mugs, pillows, cell phone cases?

Finally, the Coelacanth gets the song it deserves. Justice has been done.

I'm playing this on voice chat over a game of Animal Crossing where this one guy just caught a coelacanth, and it's a huge hit!

I have been blind. I have been sorely missing out. Time to spread this song far and wide in 2020

Is it weird that a song about a fish puts me in my feels more than any Ed Sheeran song ever could?

The two dislikes are from the fisherman that discovered these legendary fish were still kickin it

both this song and Arachnotopia have big happy lovecraft vibes and they're on my cute punk playlist <3 (which I force my friends to listen to because trying to ease my high school peers into actually good music is a struggle)

You are one of my favourite things in the world. You are a unique band that scratches a musical itch that I thought I would never be able to scratch .

Omg. I wrote an essay once mentioning the Coelacanth lol

How nerdy to see this title and be like "holy shit. Alright. Cool name" lol

My essay was about loch ness monster, sea serpents, etc. How they could exist because Coelacanth was found recently even though we thought they were extinct for millions of years.

I just realized there is more to our ocean than we know. The fact we have 3% of it fully explored is a sign of that.

The great exploration is not in outer space. Its in our oceans. Hell something always gets filmed underwater and people are always like "how weird. How alien" etc.

I think the ocean is housing some secrets man. I'm high af but i bet there might be an alien base down there. Too many stories of USO's and shit.

Somethings down there. *removes tinfoil hat*

I love this. The second song about "Coelacanth". The first one was an instrumental in the 80s by Shriekback. Both are great and different from one another. Yours rocks, the other atmospheric.
