Here's a lovely clean example of an otherwise stock 300 Tdi Defender 90, having come to Alive HQ for a fuel pump tweak on our dyno and to have our awesome comfort suspension kit installed.

😮Wow! This made my day. This is my old 90.😂 I bought it new from Harwoods Land Rover Pulborough in 1999. Ran like a dream daily for 12 years before part exchanging for a 90 SVX. So nice to see it still being loved. I did regret parting tbh. Still looks great. That's the thing about defenders, if it were any other make it would've been recycled a long time ago.👍

Love it, nice figures. I rebuilt this 6 year ago for the current owner. Serviced yearly ever since on the dot, that helps keep everything fresh.

Great video watching from belgium didn't know the 300 tdi could have 140 + hp !! Do you have an idea of the fuel consumption's increase ?

Very impressive numbers from just the fuel pump I must say! Good job lads especially considering nearly no smoke. Love to see the effect of a VNT turbo and bigger intercooler - please treat us!
But I got to ask - how much does the removal of the viscous fan affect the power figures?

Interesting video but never heard or saw any reference or checks of EGT’s under full throttle or prolonged load conditions where a tuned engine may exceed safe limits?

You won't change my mind. Firstly because the td5 is a throw away motor but the 300tdi can be rebuilt, boared out etc. And also because the td5 is shit to work on for the average person but anyone can we work on a 300tdi
