Korg Grandstage Stage Piano Demo by Sweetwater

Erskine Hawkins demonstrates how fast and intuitive it is to perform with the Korg Grandstage. Of special note it its Split control panel, which offers easy access to advanced splitting and layering functions. Complete with powerful sound engines from the Kronos series, plus some new sound engines of its own, the Korg Grandstage is a performer's instrument through and through — it even comes with a rugged A-frame stand.

Great to hear "A Night in Tunisia", and Erskine Hawkins is a natural as a presenter (maybe too good of a player for the job, but excellent at it). But yeah, Grandstage, was wondering when Korg would add a stage piano to their lineup.

I already like Erskine an his demos. Although in this case, it'd been nice if he had shouted out the different names as he changed to different instruments. There's still a redeeming chance though with this video, if one of the video editors were to the different instrument stops as he plays through them. The keyboard sounds amazing! I wanna compare it to my 88 key Kronos now!.

I know others have said it but the stand is sick. I see no movement (well almost) of the keyboard as he plays, finally a manufacturer understands.

Can't get there is no aftertouch. Are there drawbars for the organ? Disappointment are the strings. They sound pretty synthetic and somehow my 20 year old K 2500 does them better still. How is the pricing? Is it much cheaper than a full Kronos?
