The entire speak now TS version the guitar has changed, it doesn't quite sound the same as the OG. In Enchanted, the guitar trill that plays the same 4 notes is more louder and clearer in the OG before the first chorus starts, whereas in TS version the third notes are barely audible and the 4 note is plucked very loudly. I'm only mentioning this because that guitar bit was one of my favourite aspects of the song. Also OG had the sigh before she sings "please don't be in love with someone else" and TS version doesn't. Emotions of her singing are also different in both. Regardless, TS version is still great :)

Most of the original songs are full of longing and excitement for what's gonna happen or the frustration of the tragedy, the re recorded ones is a sombre feeling of nostalgia after the experience was over.

On 5:13 theres a backing vocal singing the verse (please don't be in love with someone else please don't have somebody waiting on you) in the OG version and can be heard slightly if you have a good sense in music its also repeated at 5:24 but its only the verse (please don't be in love with someone else) and i notice it disappeared in the TV and im quite disappointed since its one of the things i love in the OG since its the thing that made me feel like the song is enchanted.

I love both versions, but I think I prefer Taylor’s version…although I might be a bit biased because that was the first version of the song I listened to. It is amazing, though, to hear how much her voice has matured and strengthened since she first recorded the song.

You cant really hear it in this vid, but it is quite a bummer that in the "...i was enchanted to meet you..." part (before the "...please dont be in love with someone else), the strings sound is not in the new version 🥺. It is a small change but its sad because i like it.


Tbh, im quite scared for 1989 TV (if its the next one), particularly for clean and you are inlove, there are backing vocals in those songs in the final chorus that really HITS me, but theres a chance that it might be gone.

Edit: im not really sure if its a string instrument or an electric guitar sound

Its just kinda lower voice sound on 5:35 unlike on the original you can clearly hear her voice
