YouTuber Fakes Beheading on Livestream

Not "He actually just cut his head off." Pushing the envelope like this is what the dude is known for.

Rusty Cage is kind of like the antidote to fake-edgy/emo culture. It used to be about expression regardless of what people think of you, but it's become an aesthetic that's all about showing off and being excessive for the sake of being contrarian. Rusty IS genuinely edgy, he really is passionate about the things he creates or does. I've watched him for a while and his work really feels like it's personal and genuine.

I'm actually a frequent watcher of Rusty Cage. So when he had started the guillotine series I had all my attention on it the entire time. Throughout the series he made jokes or gave hints about beheading himself, which made the Live stream expected. I honestly thought everyone knew that that was just a way of ending a series (like an characters end), but I definitely see what everyone was fussing about.

Rusty isn't just doing this for the sake of being "edgy" or for the sake of "art." This whole ark has had a very clear undertone that he is looking for reform and a social change. The imagery of building a guillotine was that obvious at least beyond the message of his new song, and the rest of this "ark."
