CITV continuity clip (6/6/85)

Timmy Mallett's on presenting duty down on the farm as we come out of the final episode of the first series of T-Bag (Wonders in Letterland) on Thursday, 6th June, 1985. It looks like a bit of an out-take that they decided to go with - at least, I'm not sure Timmy's link was supposed to end where it did, but never mind.

Stay tuned for some ads, which are a real mixed bag to say the least. Nice to see Murray Melvin pop up in that one for Negas, while Britvic 55 and Sweetex seem to be trying to rival it in the 'unusual' stakes. That last mentioned one looks like they were banking on a special effect which they ultimately couldn't pull off.

These segments were usually taped, so the clip likely did end with Timmy asking the kids to get him untangled. To think, I had not long turned one when this aired. :) That Sweetex ad did seem a bit out of place among the other ads, but then again this was when ITV said, as long as they are not watershed ads, we can air them whenever.

Inspector Gadget was created cause and legal despute between DIC and Monkey Punch over a sequel call Lupin the VIII. If you ever look at Inspector Gadget. He looks like Inspector Zenigata. Plus Lupin the III is base on a sherlock holmes character.
