great review!!! i had a 2005 200 exc and didnt like it. i switched to an 125 exc and fell in love with 125s. Now i wanna switch back and get a 200 again. I love the 250power/125 frame philosophy but my 2005 200 (with fmf exhaust) in a way had all the dissadvantages on both worlds. I know there are a lot of mods to work it out but the thing i didnt like was that it had strong like 250 torque but with 125 response so in technical terrain i used to spin a lot. With my 125 i can full throttle my 2nd gear and the bike smoothly revved. With the 250 you can do the same with one gear up, or with 2nd gear with half throttle cause the bigger motor is not so snappy. Again im going for the 200 again but im afraid ill spend more time modding it than riding it...

Sorry that I have to ask this because I'm still a noob on dirtbikes but is that a 2 stroke or 4 stroke? Sounded like a 2 stroke to me lol.

Had a 2010 200 EXC, Loved it!!. very nimble, lite and plenty of power if your an average size person and rider. Had friends who raced motocross take it for a rind and wouldn't want to give it back after. Torque is a little low but only really notice it in the real rough and steep stuff, but nothing that a little clutchin cant fix. Upgraded to a FE 350 last year and the one thing i will say, and this is just my opinion but the linkage suspension works better then the PDS on hard hits where the ass end of the 200 would not especially on things like logs and rocks at speed. Upside you cant get hung up or damage the PDS rear cause its pretty well pullet proof when it comes to scraping over rocks and logs. I do miss that little machine and the way it use to sing :(

Hey mate you mentioned the ergo's are different. Looking to buy a 15 model sight unseen so cant get a sit on it. Have had a 2014 250 exc and 500 exc. How does the 200 differ?

Is it physically smaller than something in the 250 range? A work mate is looking for something and he's a bit short lol

Im now 16 177cm and 70kg and coming off a little TTR125l (I know its small) do you think (if I can find one in Canada) this would be to powerful? Ive road for about 2.5 years on the little 125 4S

hey, I've been looking into buying one of these recently. I'm 16 and haven't ridin in years but was looking to get back into. so I have ridin before when I was younger but haven't for a long time, and was looking for something that I can learn on again but have for a long time with wanting to upgrade as I'm probably going to finance it. would you have anything to say to help that'd be greatly appreciated :) nice video as well 👍
