edit: i would love to see the source of megan fox saying she played jennifer as a closeted lesbian! i really didn’t think to look up the Background Context and i’d love to learn more. the movie by itself was my only source so that’s why i considered jennifer to be bi.

anyways, when i wrote this comment five days ago, i was under the impression that lesbian jennifer takes were biphobic, but! as it turns out, it’s a lot more nuanced than that.

the fights in the replies have taught me that jennifer’s specific sexuality does not matter because REGARDLESS OF IT, this movie is still iconic and groundbreaking for sapphic people like it’s okay!! your personal connection is still valid!! it still happened!!! lesbians relating to jennifer as a closeted character with comphet is Fine actually, it’s not bi-erasure, it’s them watching a film and going Oh. Felt.

The literal arguments happening in these comments about if Jennifer is bi or gay are ridiculous. Why does it matter, she is a queer woman and serves queer representation. All the infighting amongst the LGBT+ community only serves to hurt us rather than help us
