What if you started in Reykjavik? Or even crazier Longyearbyen?

This honestly feels easier than the US version as Europe as a whole is more densely populated than the continental US so you’re much more likely to get a large or at least decently sized city every circle as opposed to the US where you could get one that hardly anyone knows about.

I can't believe you thought of Bremen before Hamburg

I did some playing around to figure out what starting point yields the most rings.

CG has 33 cities with Copenhagen. One might think Iceland, but that doesn't work because the next two rings are very wide at 400-600 km. Akureyri is only 41 cities and Reykjavik is 42 cities.

I think the most cities would involve starting in Russia, near the Asia border. Here's what I found after messing around for 10 minutes (all cities are Russian unless otherwise specified):

50 - Makhachkala
53 - Ponta Delgada, Portugal
55 - Orsk
55 - Tarifa, Spain
56 - Lagos, Portugal
56 - Yekaterinburg
57 - Troitsk
57 - Chelyabinsk

After doing this, I noticed that the high score is 58, so I assume that's the most possible.

I don't know my 10k Russian cities along the Europe/Asia border. The 58 ring solution is probably near Troitsk or north of Chelyabinsk. HugeQuiz did not include Kamensk-Uralsky nor Rezh as being in Europe. Heading north, Serov is west of Yekaterinburg, but it isn't counted as Europe, either.

Ok, I've said it before and I'll say it again - looking up how to spell something is not cheating - it's a geography, not a spelling quiz!

This is a minor problem, but the video would look better if the map was in the middle of the screen because the white background takes up half the area.

That was great! You should do this again with the highest mountain.

Germany has a lot of fairly large cities, but not a lot of truely large ones (except Berlin maybe). Munich only has like 1.5 Million people. Vienna has almost 2.

Damn, I hoped to see some Italian cities, but Milan (1.3 mln) was in the same circle as St. Petersburg (5.6 mln) while Rome (2.8 mln) was in the same as Moscow (13.1 mln)

Denmark is in the middle of Europe if you consider how far north Norway, Sweden and Finland goes (and you also count Iceland to it)

If you want to try for a high score some time, maybe start in Portugal?

How can Samara or Tolyatti be the biggest city when there is Ankara there? If you say Ankara is not on the European side, you are right, but then what was your reason for trying Izmir? Also, how are Samara and Tolyatti considered in Europe?or most cities in russia you wrote
