Cindy Hurst, Combined Arms Center, presents her paper "The Quantum Leap into Computing and Communication: A Chinese Perspective" during the 2015 Mad Scientist Conference. U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command's G2 and Georgetown University partnered to host the event April 28 and 29. The goal was to bring leading scientists, innovators, and thinkers throughout academia, industry and government to discuss challenges in in the future world.

If they are willing to create and put a satellite in space is because the see real  applications for this technology, is not just theory as you put it, we are not talking just about research papers.

She does not know much. She has only an Arts degree in communication (PR). An Arts major speaking about quantum physics ?

She seems to be showing what she knows about theory quantum communications based on Chinese model. Just to save their face and embarrassment. Can not show their working model using quantum science because they are still studying how to make it work.
