New volleyball air dome in Munich, Germany a real winter oasis

The Munich beach sports community urgently needed a new beach volleyball venue for the winter. They planned to cover a sand area of 1200 m², offering ideal year-round training conditions. The had to meet the following sustainability goals:
• Reduced required resources and consumed energy
• Low initial and operational costs
• Minimal impact on environment & local ground disruption
• Short project duration
After investigating various options for a new indoor arena, a DUOL air dome with the leading-edge ECO membrane system was recognized as the best solution, meeting all the above-mentioned sustainability criteria.

A real winter oasis. The air dome accommodates three professional beach volleyball courts with large playing areas, a grandstand with a bar and plenty of chill-out opportunities. With a ceiling height of over 11 meters, there are no longer any limits to beach sports.
