Ya but hopefully the mechanics who worked on the plane were well diverse

They thought taking that whislteblower out was going to stop their problems. These people are greedy and need to be charged with a crime.

I used to work for Boeing, and just before the Alaska Airline incident .. I quit .. and boy .. it's karma. My manager told me not to be nitpicking the issue. Well, I'm a software engineer, and we had so many issues from calibration, sensor, wing, tail, landing gear, etc. Now, I understand why all of these are happening. No More Boeing. A lot of red tape at Boeing, Manager has another manager and that manager report to another manager and so on .. about 4 or 5 managers you as an engineer need to report to and they are mostly Finance people or Bean Counters Not Engineers !!

aircraft maintenance probably forgot to latch the cowling, and the pilot didn't catch it during walk-around

"Spirit Airlines: The airline that can't afford to crash."
They should legit use that slogan.

This is not a Boeing or CFM issue. It is a Southwest maintenace issue. This happens because at outstations mechanics don’t have QC oversight. So if they make a mistake no one is there to catch it. This is not new

Boing been cutting costs and cutting cornersfor years and then a whistle blower mysteriously dies 🤫

The engines are made by GE, the maintenance is done by the airline. Boeing has major issues, but not every single thing is their fault. The truth is that there is something wrong in aviation as a whole! Not just one plane maker or airline

Here I am multitasking watching TV on airline disasters . . .

What is it going to take for these people to be out of business and in jail!!

This isn’t a Boeing problem. This is maintenance oversight and the captain is also responsible as it’s a preflight inspection item

Careful guys.. bad things happen to critics of Boeing [parking lot].

The quality issues in the Boeing factory are a separate issue. These are planes already in service. The issue is in maintenance, maintenance training, somewhere in that area. Of course, we can’t know if it’s apathetic employees, airlines cutting budgets or what. I think the issues in the Boeing factories are yet to be seen.

Boeing does not make the engine, though, CFM International does. If anything, it falls on the maintenance crew for the airlines.

This is the result of enforcing DEI to have higher ESG score.

As a aircraft technician sometimes technicians forget to latch the engine cowelling correctly its always a good habit to have a second technician to check your work.

Two weeks ago my daughter went to San Antonio flying on Southwest and on the way there, and on the way back flights were delayed because they had to change out the wheel of the plane —two different flights —2 different days —two different airports.

It's getting to the point where I almost feel safer driving I-95 in south Florida to get to the airport than I do taking off from the airport. 😅

That’s not a product problem that’s a maintenance problem. Someone left the hatch open
